Not entirely true but my new year plan to blog my ventures has failed miserably! However my promise to craft craft craft has not, so without further hesitation here is my year in craft so far in one big colourful splat!!
First of all, Totoro! Complete and in pride of place on my bookcase :-)
Following on the crochet theme, I couldn't resist this little dude:
I found this free pattern at nerdigurumi, so get yourself over there!
I then took a leaf out of my mate Ali's book and got myself into the world of hexagons! This was the end result: no more shall I stand for a plain and boring laptop case!
Finally, a mention to my next project, a mushroom house door stop. Not really sure how its gonna pan out but fingers crossed! Myself and Scarlet Pyjamas had an awesome time at a craft show recently and thats how that little project came about! Brilliant places for inspiration and not so brilliant for your wallet. I have my eye on a quilt as we speak.
So until next update! Which as my mid year resolution dictates will not be as long away!!

A crafting venture close to my heart!
My first blog will start as I mean to go on, so here is my latest venture in the world of craft. Totoro! My Neighbour Totoro is a beautiful, simple and scrummy film by Studio Ghibli and is slowly taking over my life! I found this pattern online and thought WANT! So as is my way I jumped in feet first with not the first clue about how to crochet! Armed with YouTube tutorials and my lovely mum I was on my way!
I was both pretty chuffed and surprised with stage one!
And then he got ears!
Just 2 arms, a tail and a tummy to go! I'll post up the finished goods, heres hoping he'll turn out well enough to earn a place on our bookcase!!
And most important of all, the lovely link that gave me this idea

Good luck to anyone who gives it a whirl. I would love to see the results!
